STEAM AT OUR SCHOOL

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math. All students benefit from a STEAM program that uses Project Based Learning to integrate multiple subject areas and engage students in a real-world, hands-on approach to education. Students at Jackson Magnet will be able to see and understand the synergy of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics while working with others to creatively solve problems.

Our STEAM curriculum is foundational in everything we do, from the science and technology labs to exploring stories and creating projects in the school garden. Partnerships with JPL, Caltech, Side Street Projects, and others give students an opportunity to see real scientists and artists in action. Every Jackson student participates in our STEAM program.
